Are you still positioning them, and this is an 'early' clip, or are they 'set'? They do sound better - worry what the difference is between the (4?) pairs - but the bass seems a bit offset from the rest of the music; same time but on a slightly different beat... it may be the song, the recording, or something else - not sure whether that would change any if repositioned. Musically upbeat though :)Charlie1 wrote: ↑2023-10-04 16:41 Finally found some 109s that I like and can now understand why other folks rate them. Fourth time lucky! Very nice match with Lejonklou electronics too.

I did set them but having listened to the clips whilst relaxing I think I've taken a wrong turn so your ears are on it as usual tokenbrittokenbrit wrote: ↑2023-10-04 17:32Are you still positioning them, and this is an 'early' clip, or are they 'set'? I've done the 109 mod in case you were wondering.
Re: Charlie1's System
No new woofers here, just another pair of 109s.
The 109 mod is ref the position of the foam at the back of the port

Re: Charlie1's System
I like this clip better than the first.
And I think it sounds great!
I envy you, Kalle! It’s not a joke, i would like to know and play the same track at my ”system” and compareI assume that's a joke Kalle05 :)What music is in the video ?

Listening to ‘Avalon’ for the first time, yes please I’d really like that.
Re: Charlie1's System
Yes. The first one felt less than this ;)
Re: Charlie1's System
I agree, at first listen the first clip started off great -really great- and then lost the tune when the band kicked in, second clip continues to hold it all together although with slightly less of that 80's glitter, give me the first clip sound with the overall tunefulness of the second..

Thanks all.
I'm gonna leave it there and just enjoy it now. Tx again.

Thats my experience to.lejonklou wrote: ↑2023-06-08 19:18Yes, on Espeks in our previous apartment. To my surprise I found it simply better on Mid than on Treble.
All other times I’ve compared the inputs on single wired passive loudspeakers (including the unmusical diagonal connection recommended by Linn), treble has always been the best.
Will listen to the clips later!
Not only that , but ( as you know ) the best and most musical poweramp in an active setup always sounds better If its driving the tweeter. And the tweeter amplifier sounds better If its plugged nearest the wall socket If using power strips,, where the other two poweramplifiers ( If its a threeway active speaker ) on the same three way powerstrip has the midamplifier on the second and the bass amplifier on the third.
