I got bitten by the Linn bug in mid 2000 and eventually jumped in with a then-discontinued Karik, Wakonda and 5105. Espeks followed 2 years later, then a 5103 replaced the Wakonda, and a 2250 was added.

As it current stands, the system is:

Source
Unidisk 1.1 (for DVDs and CDs)
LP12 (Lingo, Ittok, Klyde, Trampolin) + Creek OBH9
XBOX (for Xvid/DivX playback)

Playback
Artikulate 345 sub
2250 -> Espek
2250 -> Ekwal
5105 -> Katans (rear)

I had an Akurate 221 sub for a couple of years, but upgraded it to a 345, which was a major upgrade. Longer-term, I'm thinking about an Akurate 225 centre to replace the Ekwal, and of course a Linto to replace the Creek OBH9.

The LP12 is about to be upgraded, with new mechanicals, second-hand Ekos II and Trampolin 2. After hearing my dealer's top-spec LP12, Kontrol and 350As, I'll be after an Akiva some day, as well as a Keel.

Sounds like a nice system. Your planned upgrades are right on target - the upgraded mechanicals, Ekos II and Trampolin2 will make a substantial improvement in an already fine system. Let us know how you like the upgrades.

Is that right: you've got A345 sub and passive Espek driven by 2250?
Maybe next step (of course source first!) could be upgrading to Aktiv? There are many second-hand or dealer ex-demo 2250 amps, so it could cost not so much than buying new chakra amps. Does anybody compared Klimax AV amp (aka 2250) to Chakra (200?).

I have Aktiv cards sitting at home, waiting for funds to purchase 2 x 2250, but I'm not sure whether I will replace the Espeks with Akurates, so I'm holding off on going Aktiv for a while. The Chakra amps are said to be notably better than the old 2250/5125, and as such I'd suspect I'd be replacing my 2250s with 4200s in the (far) future.
