mmh yes your digital rig is really good but your vinyl is simply better
I missed your comments on the Källa examples.

I have loved to step back and let you all handle things here. As all our systems get more and more musically refined it is often a matter of “taste” what makes your heart sing.

In the end that is all that matters.

.... an example of how I work with my cd setup. Every small change makes a difference in my setup. This is the latest outcome:

Cd latest: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kqedgiwrc61ew ... 3.mov?dl=0

I simply try to get closer and closer to the “feel” of the vinyl version.

Thank you Thomas.

I am on a roll here already moving further towards the “vinyl feel” (less skeletal, more full).

All I do is to concentrate on the vibrations that can move through cables to the cd player disturbing the reading of the cd disk.

My take is that the “reading” of a record is much more well protected from harmful feedback vibrations than the reading of a cd in a cd player…….. and that the reading of a cd is much more delicate and less robust than the “reading” of a record using a “needle”.

Beck,

Looking at the way your gear is setup, immediately makes me feel it’s less than ideal based on my experience. I gather you have space restrictions but have you considered a wall shelf for your LP12 or a separate dedicated support? Is your floor suspended or solid?

It is far from ideal. Though I would not use the Sondek as it is placed now.

I have worked my way from a far from ideal setup to something really good to me.

Before that I have done all the normal things like using a wall shelf and more. This is however by far the best sound I have got out of my system…….

…….. and more importantly really to my personal liking.

Akurate 212 vs Klångedang T1

Akurate 212:

Klångedang:

I still have to work on the placement for the Klångedang T1, I just did a quick adjustment for the test.

I much prefer the Klångedang. The music grabs me immediately and ends way too soon.

That’s an excellent upgrade kallesprätt! The Klaångedang’s are so much more melodic, you and your family are going to have a very merry Christmas indeed, that’s for sure!

PS What’s your system?

That was an easy one. I find Klångedang a lot better in your clips.

As I have owned both myself it's no surprise to me, I found the Klångedangs much better in the room as well.

Thank you! Akurate 212 is a good speaker, Klångedang is simply better.

I use an LP12(Karousel, Radikal, Keel, Ekos 2, Adikt, Slipsik 6) or Hakai into Sagatun stereo and Tundra stereo.
My kids loves christmas and everything about Santa, so we better please them :-).

I definitely prefer the Klångedangs in this comparison. They are just more musical and engaging.
But I have to wonder about the help the Klångedangs are getting from the Christmas elves!

Hmm, very interesting! All the Karousel comparisons I’ve heard to date have been slightly disappointing, yet your LP12 has the musical “feeling” I associate with the best examples of the LP12. Congratulations!

Interesting. I hear more of the vibrato in her voice on Christmas and the sound is somewhat more powerful, but Merry makes me merrier when listening to it. Merry just bounces along more joyfully than Christmas.

I'm finding Happy and New Year harder to choose. They are both good. This time I find it easier to hear how Satchmo enunciates on Happy and it is also Happy that makes me happier. It just seems to have a bit more boogie and emotion to it.

This third comparo is hot! I liked Lejonklou so much I just listened to the whole clip and didn't want to listen to Forum as I was sure I would be disappointed. I was right (expectation bias?) as Forum just doesn't do it for me at all sounding sluggish and a bit compressed compared to the lively sound of Lejonklou. I'm listening to it again right now. Cool!

Merry and happy for me ...that Ringling tingling was so much better on merry .MG seemed harsh on forum as if volume was too loud for mobile , forum didn't seem as harsh, but will listen again

On section A, my preference is Merry over Christmas. On section B, my preference is Happy over New Year. On section C, my preference is Lejonklou over forum.

I will give all three sections another listening session later, and see if my preferences are the still the same.

Merry v Christmas : Merry (horns sound much more together)

Happy v New Year : New Year (Happy sounds a little discordant in comparison)

Lejonklou v Forum : Lejonklou ( a bit closer for me)

I'm with Tom on this: Merry has a lot more bounce than Christmas. On Happy you really just need the piano in the intro to hear that it's better than New Year.
