Also ATC and PMC are often mentioned by Linn owners. Worth considering I guess.

Re: Where do we go from here?
For me it's just about loud enough but you can't really enjoy the music at full volume, music production notwithstanding. What spoils things at high decibel levels is my room, its just a bit too live. Go stand in the hallway and it's much better. So for me the amps certainly are loud enough for 90% ...

Re: Where do we go from here?
Ozzy, I’m quite intrigued by your post about Totem speakers. I’d love to hear your thoughts/experience comparing these speakers to 242s, for example, or any other Linn speakers. No crossover for the bass is interesting and a bit unclear to me. If not active, how can there Not be a passive crossover...

Anyone?
Does anyone want to build mine? Lol
That is certainly very interesting and does this mean your project is now dead Fredrik?

Re: Amplification options
Hi Freddy. That's a very valid point and in line with my findings in relation to the quality of the bass with linn vs Lejonklou amps. Even a klimax twin struggles with bass articulation and definition compared to the tundra, even if it's an older tundra. Its an area that's very easy to differentiate...

Re: Amplification options
single wiring will often sound the most musically coherent. During our research, nearly all single wire speaker cable out-performs the bi-wire equivalent. (from chord company). There's literally loads of similar comments across the Web. It's usually an easier load for the amplifier to drive, with le...

Totem acoustic tribe towers... Just incredible. I highly recommend giving Chris at HiddenSystems a call. These skinny floorstanding speakers are a revelation.
And yes, I'm eagerly awaiting a Lejonklou 'muscle' amp!

Re: Amplification options
Just one more point on the 140s, I know we try to emphasis the musical side of any advice, but I was surprised by how much more controlled the bass is on my 140s when upgrading from 4200 to Tundra Stereo. I'd always assumed the 140s were just quite ill-defined in this area due to cheap drive units,...

Re: A Day Long Dem In Kantata Audio
Some fantastic posts here and I love the story bonzo told. I enjoyed reading the initial post and it reminded me of my original introduction to the tundra all those years ago when Chris from HiddenSystems sent me one up along with a 4200 to compare it to. In my original post, (on the forum somewhere...

Hi Don. Nice to see you today, and here again too! As we discussed earlier I have my socket on its own spur straight back to the consumer unit on its own breaker. It was a priority when we decorated to do this. I think it's definitely a good idea to try and do what you suggest. I'm sure Fredrik has ...

The original recording of zoolook by Jarre is amazing. The dripping water sounds incredible. Ethnicolour is just one of 'those' tracks that's gives you goosebumps and lasts in your memory for a long time.

Re: asking for upgrade advice
One more thing... Totem Tribe towers... Probably the best slim floorstanding speakers I've ever heard. By some margin. They're extremely well balanced, which I feel is their biggest quality and they also dig deep too, down to 30hz. I'm in North Lincolnshire if you are close enough to call for a list...

Re: asking for upgrade advice
I'd certainly demo the totem speakers. Totem sky, either tower or stand mounted speakers would be a good option. The embers are fantastic but you'd probably need to try them at home and they do respond well to space optimisation believe it or not - yes that's me advocating space unbelievably, as the...

Re: LP12 to Sneaky
I find streaming via Spotify vs the same track via my nas indistinguishable. Both 1411 kbps, flac vs pcm. I tried and couldn't hear anything between them. AFAIK, 1411kbps is Redbook quality and Spotify provides MP3 only. Besides that I think Spotify is very musical sounding. Matt Hi matt, I'm very ...
