Re: Coaxial Cable Recommendations
I use a Kimber D60 and highly recommend it. Available with rca or bnc connectors. Noticeably more engaging than the Lifatec optical or Cardas USB I also have on hand.

Re: Linn 50th Anniversary
I’ve never noticed the curve at the bottom of the arm collar on my Keel. I had to go and look. Not avoidable, of course, when CNC is making right angles. It is indeed very small. Using a magnifying glass also revealed some slight anodizing irregularities in that area and I assume that’s what has bot...

Re: The LP12 just got better (again)
Now that ThomasOK has mentioned that the Radikal upgrade does not eliminate the issue of motor contact with the Trampolin/Urika baseboard I’d like to ask if he, as a Linn dealer representative, has asked them why that is. They apparently have recognized the problem exists, and have made an effort to...

Re: The LP12 just got better (again)
An interesting review in Stereophile of the new OMA K3 turntable and arm (hideously ugly, obscenely expensive). In it, though, the designers touch on the importance of speed stability. They point out that platter speed is affected, however slightly, by the transients and dynamic contrasts presented ...

Re: The LP12 just got better (again)
I see Linn has removed Kandid from the Klimax level price list of turntable components and replaced it with Exstatik. I guess all who aspire to owning a K level LP12 had better get their wallets out. Both versions of the Radikal remain on the Klimax list, though, with the non machined called “standa...

Re: The LP12 just got better (again)
If “new motor housing for better decoupling” translates to “motor no longer rests on the Trampolin” Linn has managed to get the customers to pay for their mistake on the original. The upgrade mentions the motor only in this context. Can someone more familiar tell me if the motor has changed in any o...

Re: Liquid stylus treatments on Kandid.
I have an onzow that I use regularly. Lyra says SPT will increase performance, extend stylus life and do no harm. Wondering if anyone has experience with Kandid and SPT or other liquids. I think you’re saying I shouldn’t bother.

Liquid stylus treatments on Kandid.
Does anyone use stylus treatments, such as Lyra’s SPT, on their Kandid? Not recommended on Krystal after a few suspensions collapsed because, according to Linn, too much fluid applied to the stylus resulting in corrosion of it’s aluminum cantilever. Likely not relevant to Kandid with it’s boron. Whe...
Re: Karousel
I was quite surprised at the difference in colour of the new inner platter. Very different than the outer platter or the one it replaced. Difference in process or material? Perhaps a little bit of both?
Re: Karousel
I picked up my LP12 last Thursday after waiting six weeks for the new bearing and Ekos SE/1 that I purchased for the promotion. After a few days of listening it’s quite apparent to me that Linn has achieved something special here. What part is due to the new arm and what part the Karousel is impossi...
