Re: Beck and his black boxes.

H & H2 is better than G & G2.
With H & H2 I hear more of what's going on in the music and all the different instrumental fills has more purpose.

"And a Super Boazu!" Hear, hear!

It would be neat if the discoveries that came from making the TM3 could trickle-down in the form of an upgrade to the Boazu.

Re: Beck and his black boxes.

I know this isn't about voting and such but G & G2 is better than F & F2. It's more music and also sounds cleaner :)

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

2 is obviously the best. It sounds bigger and better, and every piece of music is more tuneful and involving.
Also. Thanks for playing my song request Riding with the King.
I forgot to check for best sounding version on Spotify but the one you picked sounded very good.

Re: Linn 50th Anniversary

It's disappointing but maybe they'll post the music in a separate video.
I have some thoughts about the presentation though and how it could've come from basically any high end manufacturer.
The long list of buzz words and then almost nothing is mentioned about the musicality of the loudspeaker.

Please play "Riding With The King" by John Hiatt.
I've liked the song since I was a kid and it should sound pretty good on your system.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

I got an idea. Maybe it's time to bring back the Silver interconnects and see what happens? I know you prefer the Linn Black but when listening to them in my own system they sound almost skewed. Like if the high frequencies arrives earlier than the rest. Resulting in a quick and lean presentation. I...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

..and here we go again

C vs D: This was really difficult! D sounds relaxed and got a tuneful bass, still I probably pick C for it's pace and energy.
C2 vs D2: Here I pick C2. D2 sounded a bit too slow for my taste.

With how awesome it is I'm surprised the room hasn't gotten any coverage by YouTubers yet. I just want to witness when their minds are blown. :)

Out of the three, C is best on both songs. Time to go back to the drawing board eh? ;)
Well, first let's hear what everyone else has to say.

How does it sound in room and what do you prefer Beck?

Re: Linn 50th Anniversary

With it looking like a mix between a Magico and a Sonus Faber it doesn't have much of an identity.
I still wish the best for Linn and hoping it sounds really good and becomes a smashing success.

The difference in volume threw me off at first but in the end B is more emotional so that's my pick.

Re: Play Loud!

It can be speaker related. Some just needs to be played at high volume levels to become engaging. For example. My current speakers, Totem Dreamcatcher, is still fun at low volumes while my old Linn Ninka wasn't. It actually made me skip listening to music late in the evening when it no longer was po...
