Re: New LP12 part (rumors)
We need a new Trampolin, which foot doesn’t touch the Radikal motor case.

Re: The sound of LP12 plinths?
All things equal is mandatory when trying new parts. And I’m using torque driver even for the cartridge bolts, almost 10 years now.
Different plinths could give different results with new upgrades, incl. the latest one. I can guess in what direction they will take the Karousel.

Re: The sound of LP12 plinths?
I too think about that. It could be due to the different density of the wood. Rosewood has a density of 800-1,000 kg / m³, Movingui, for example, 600-800 kg / m³. I don't know how that matters, but it does come to mind when I think about deriving vibrations from the LP12.0 I also exchanged the stan...

That’s very interesting, Thomas! Can you provide some pictures? Case bolts torque settings would be of help.

And you have to declare no conflict of interest. You are not from Glasgow or in connection with a dealer. ;)

Re: Karousel Vs Cirkus
JH2 for me, too. As I have experience with both bearings, I'm guessing which one is this, but let's wait for the official results.
Re: Karousel
The two bearings differ in some areas. One of the biggest differences is decay. A good experience with a number of the best concert halls and high-end systems for a designer helps a lot. There one can spot many aspects of the sound, in this case reverberations and decay. I would agree with that. Th...

Re: Karousel
Interestingly the recordings are showing differences, which can be spotted live. One of the bearings is showing better timbre and tonal accuracy. Also better flow.

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
I modified the foot under the motor. The results are excellent. I’ve tried a number of plinths in the past and I noticed, that each kind of wood gives a specific sound. That’s why I’m reluctant to put wooden parts under the plinth. Did Linn find out a solution of this issue? Or they are yet to admit...
